• Do you like to solve hard problems at scale? Are you intrigued by turning advanced human workflows into sophisticated automated systems? The Amazon Retail Business Service team is looking for the best brains in the industry to help us execute on our exciting automation road map. 

• We are looking for skilled Software Engineers who can build Machine Learning type systems at scale.

• We’re working on problems in a number of areas, including automatic content correction algorithms and approval systems. Wherever there is a human decision required, we aim to replace it with a better automated decision! We handle mission critical and time sensitive data that are vital for Amazon’s success. The systems developed by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.

• You will be part of a newly formed team to help design and develop a unique set of services that will enable and prepare Amazon for the enormous growth we are constantly experiencing and expecting in the future.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4+ years of experience is required

• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and CS fundamentals

• Strong in design – HLD/ LLD; designing for performance, scalability, availability

• Experience in supporting high-traffic, high-throughput, distributed real-time systems and services

• Proficiency in Java/C++ in a Linux/Unix environment

• Proven track record of building high quality, AJAX enabled websites. HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS experience is very nice to have.

• Experience using SQL.

• Experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems.

• Excellent communication skills
